Plymouth After Dark

Plymouth After Dark was a major exhibition at The Box in April 2022. The exhibition was the outcome of a four-year project that investigating a wide range of activity that takes place in the city at night, from live music to the role of the Naval Provost. The project collected oral histories, film, photography and artistic responses to explore people’s stories. The wide range of material and stories gathered was reflected back to the city through the exhibition. Funded by the University of Plymouth’s iMayflower programme, students took up studentships in MA Heritage and MA Fine Art to work with curators on the development of Plymouth after Dark.
